Basketball

 

 

Rules

  • All the matches shall be played according to the rules of Basketball Federation of India.
  • The team shall consist of maximum 6 players. No player shall be allowed to take part in the tournament without proper kit.
  • The Tournament will be conducted on Knock Out basis.
  • Duration of the match shall be 7 min. each quarter. After 1st & 3rd quarters 2 min. rest and between 2nd & 3rd quarter 5 min. rest.
  • If there is a tie, extension of 5 min. shall continue to be given till the game is decided.
  • Winner and Runners-up team will be provided with Merit Certificates while all the participating teams will be provided with Participation Certificates.
  • Only two officials are allowed in the campus on or off the field with the team.
  • Each team is requested to reach the ground half an hour before the given time.
  • Referee's decision will be final and binding. No protest will be entertained against the decision of the Referee.
  • All the teams are expected to maintain discipline on and off the field. Team Manager/Coach shall be responsible for the conduct of their team.
  • The teams shall be responsible for their belongings and are advised not to carry costly items with them.
  • The participants must not damage any school property. In case of any damage, the concerned team has to bear the cost.

Football

 

 

Rules

  • Playing Field- The size of the playing field will be one third of a regular field. Therefore the size of the field will be approximately 30 mtr. X 40 mtr. The size of the goals will be 16 ft. length X 7 ft. height.
  • Number of players & substitutes – 5 players including the goalkeeper per team; a maximum of 6 players to participate in the tournament.
  • Substitution Regulations–Substitution will be allowed during stoppage of the match at the referee's discretion. Players are allowed to go on and off the field as much as they want, but only on the referees signal.
  • The Ball – The tournament will be played with a normal match ball, size 5
  • Presence Regulations: Be on time
  • All teams should be present on the assigned field 15 minutes prior to the start of the appointed game.
  • If a team misses one or two games without acceptable reason, disqualification might follow. In exceptional cases the tournament committee can decide to award a win {so 3 points} to the team duped by not playing the match. All results obtained versus a disqualified or withdrawn team will be cancelled and therefore will not be entered in the final score.
  • Fair Play - Needless to say we expect fair play from all participating teams. Please respect your opponents as well as the decisions of the referees.
  • The tournament is mainly a sociable event in which participation in the true spirit and achievement are equally important.
  • Penalties - Penalty will be taken at a distance of 9 yards.
  • Penalty kicks will be taken at all times. Even if the centrally registered time notification gives a final or a half time signal.

Referees, Linesman and Regulations

  • The tournament will be played according to the 5 a side rules & regulations.
  • Protests are not possible and in any situation in which the tournament rules do not provide, the decision of the Committee of Billabong High International School, Bhopal shall be binding and irrevocable.
  • The referees will be appointed by the tournament committee.
  • There will be no linesman.

Special Regulations

  • The starting whistle: The game will start or be resumed in the middle of the field. The Opponent should keep a distance of 5 mts.
  • Offside: The offside rule will not be applied
  • Match Duration: Playing times are determined at 2 X 15 minutes per game {with 5 minutes half time}
  • Throw – in: If the ball goes out of play, Kick will be taken from side-line
  • Tournament Format: The Tournament will be conducted by Knock Out basis.

Team Players Lists

  • All teams need to make themselves known in the tournament room upon arrival on the field. All teams need to hand in a fully completed name list. On this the initials and surnames of all players that will be entering the field on the playing day concerned should be mentioned.
  • Any changes to the already handed-in players lists should be reported to the tournament committee before the start of the first match. Intentionally filling out the players list wrongly can result in disqualification. All participants must be able to identify themselves by official identification papers that must be shown if requested by the tournament committee. The players' lists and the match program will be simultaneously sent to the teams 4 days before the start of the tournament.

Table Tennis

 

 

Rules

  • All the matches will be played according to the rules of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) as adopted by them from time to time, unless modified by BHIS.
  • Every school will be entitled to send a team of maximum four players in each age group separate for Boys and Girls.
  • Age group for the Tournament will be Seniors-Grade 9 and above and Juniors-Grade 8 and below (for both girls/boys).
  • Only bonafide enrolled students of the school can participate.
  • No player shall be allowed to take part in the tournament without proper kit.
  • The Tournament will be conducted on Knock Out basis.
  • The scoring system will be the same.
  • The matches will be played as best of three games.
  • Each set will be of 11 points.
  • The rackets should be approved by T.T.F.I. and both the sides of rackets should be of different colours.
  • The balls to be used in the tournament shall be ITTF approved.
  • Each team is requested to reach the ground half an hour before the given time.
  • Referee's decision will be final and binding. No protest will be entertained against the decision of the Referee.
  • All the teams are expected to maintain discipline on and off the field. Team Manager/Coach shall be responsible for the conduct of their team.
  • The teams shall be responsible for their belongings and are advised not to carry costly items with them.
  • The participants must not damage any school property. In case of any damages, the concerned team has to bear the cost.
  • The team that has been named first in the fixture, will sit on the left side of the officials' table, and shall score towards the right side of the court.

Swimming

 

 

Pool Size

Pool Size: The Aquatic Centre at Billabong High International School has been built to Olympic Standards with the dimensions of 25 m X 13 m. It is complete with showers, change and rest rooms.

  • 50 meter Freestyle
  • 100 meter Freestyle
  • 200 meter Freestyle
  • 50 meter Backstroke
  • 100 meter Backstroke
  • 200 meter Backstroke
  • 50 meter Breaststroke
  • 100 meter Breaststroke
  • 200 meter Breaststroke
  • 4 x 50 meter Relay (Only for Boys)

  • Age group for the Tournament will be Seniors- Grade 9 and above and Juniors-Grade 8 and below (for both girls and boys).
  • Only two officials are allowed in the campus on or off the Pool with the team. Each team is expected to reach the pool half an hour before the event.
  • Official/Referee's decision will be final and binding. No protest will be entertained against the decision of the referee.
  • All the teams are expected to maintain discipline. Team Manager/Coach will be responsible for the conduct of their team.
  • The teams shall be responsible for their belongings and are advised not to carry costly items with them.
  • The participants must not damage any school property. In case of any damages, the concerned team has to bear the cost.

Note:

At the time of registration, the participants should produce the following:

  • Student ID form (with Unique ID and photo) signed by the Principal.
  • List of Participants from the School signed by the Principal.
  • Proof of Date of Birth.
